Feldenkrais® Method

Feldenkrais® is a method that teaches you to move more consciously and easily. It's not about sports or fitness, but rather about how to feel and move better to relieve pain, release tension, or improve mobility.

This usually happens through small, slow movements, often while lying down, with a great deal of attention – almost like a movement experiment. It's not a quick "treatment," but a slow and lasting change in the way we move, think, and feel.

In short:
Feldenkrais = Learning how to move more easily and healthily – with more mindfulness, less effort.

How do Feldenkrais® lessons work?

There are two teaching methods of the Feldenkrais® method:

  1. Feldenkrais® by group ("Awareness through Movement") :
In group classes, I lead through slow, mindful movement exercises (standing, lying, or sitting). Often, these exercises result in "aha" moments when you discover which parts of the body you haven't used in the movement before.

  2. Feldenkrais® after individual lessons ("Functional Integration") :
Private lessons are tailored to your individual needs and begin with a personal consultation. With this method, I work with you one-on-one, often by gently moving your body to facilitate changes in movement style and body awareness.

In both forms, the goal is to develop conscious movement habits that are less strenuous and harmful.
